I am very sad to learn about the passing of Professor Liang. I started my connection with Kansas State University because of Professor Liang and Doreen. I still remember that when I arrived in Manhattan in 1987, Professor Liang and Yangshen Wu picked me up at the airport. It was late. Professor Liang drove and stopped by the Burger King and got me a fish sandwich meal on our way to the Royal Towers Apartment. Many years passed, I still remember that night, and still remember those days Dr. Seib and I played ping-pong at the basement of your house, parties at your house, and road trip etc. I am very grateful for all the support and help from Professor Liang. Professor Liang will be deeply missed, never forgotten.

My husband and I met George and Doreen in LaJolla as retirees. George and IC playing ping pong on a regular basis. Words can’t quite describe how comfortable we felt with them right away and our friendship flourished. George was kind, generous and a good friend. We have many good memories with him. We will miss him. Condolences to your family.

Deepest sympathies for your loss, May, Roy, and Doreen. I have many fond memories of him bringing cow manure to our house so my parents could grow their Chinese vegetables (it stank!!!), playing basketball and ping pong with him, making potstickers in your old house, and his old manual shift Mustang (I thought it was the coolest car!). Hope your memories keep him alive in your hearts.
