If you like pecan pies (and we do!), pecan pie bars are the next best thing (not to mention more convenient for transporting). A buttery shortbread crust is topped with a modified pecan pie filling. The result is butter and pecans and butter. It’s a rich but not too sweet bar cookie, exactly like our family likes its pecan pies. Four (or maybe eight) thumbs up!
